Spent many years in Basement of Cypress Inn in Northbrook (The "Rathskeller"). At one time was a player Piano, but all those parts were not in it when I got it.

Very rough outside, told that it plays well.

This piano was given to me by a friend.  When we attempted to have it repaired we were told it  would need to be rebuilt.   The pins are plastic which is very brittle.  We were excited about a "free" piano, but are not interested in the expense of fixing this one or using it as a trade in for a refurbished piano.  The "furniture" portion is in great shape...seems  shame to trash it.

Piano performers run in our family.  This piano was given to us because my children are musically inclined.  However, they have chosen to play other instruments (cello and saxophone) so this piano just sits and we simply don't have the room for it in our small house. 

This piano was used in a music department of a school before they were given a "newer" model, so it is extremely worn, but is was serviced regulary.  All keys work, but the middle pedal is inoperable (maybe can be fixed, but never checked).  I wouldn't recommend this piano for someone simply wanting a fine piece of furniture, but it would be a great addition for individuals wishing to learn to play piano or for individuals who play that can't afford a nicer piano.

 Top of piano is hinged & pulls out to put sheet music on.

  I will give away to anyone who wants to pick it up.  Keys are Ivory.  Many will need replacement along w/tuning.

Piano is an old one, plays well; however, it has not be played for a while, may need a good tuning. It is on the main floor close to the doorway and there are two steps outside. 

The house needs to rent out. It takes a space; new tenants do want to keep it in Living room. Piano is very heavy.

I have 2 pianos and my kids are no longer playing . I WOULD LIKE TO donate one due to lack of space.The piano plays well it needs a good tuning and a fresh coat of stain.No damages that need fixing.It is in on the main floor close to the door and there is one step outside.

cosmetically, it is a little rough on the outer wood corners - the 'player piano' parts dont really work - but our children have played it for about 5 years, it cost little to tune it and get it into shape for human playing, and it sounds fine. Pick up is easy, no stairs going out. Free of course.
