This is an upright, close to 100+ years
old.
Has only been in three family houses,
including mine.
It is a PLAYER PIANO and I learned how to
play on it.
About 20 of the keys have little cracks
in them, almost like something ate the keys, although it has
been in our living room.
Smoke free.
It still plays, but does need to be
tuned.
For the player to be put back into
working order, keys fixed (which don't need to be if you
don't care about the look) and the player mechanism to be
put back in order, we were quoted $2,000-$3,000.
We are moving, and just can't take it
with us.
It is a Fayette S. Cable from Chicago.
VERY HEAVY, will need at least 3 if not 4
people to move it.
We had a blast with it growing up and
until it stopped working a few years ago.
It is a terrific piano, it would be
awesome for a family room or for a rec. room in an elderly
complex, etc., once it is fixed, new rolls can be bought,
and it would be great for sing-alongs!
