Piano has been a lightly played, family piano.  It has always been located in the living room, no damp or unheated storage.

Last tuned maybe 5 years ago.  It was regularly tuned before that.  Varnish is a bit scratched.

No one is using the piano so I would like someone who will use it to have it.

WANTED - A GOOD HOME

I saved this piano from the porch of an abandoned home 15 years ago with the intention of refurbishing it. 

After 2 moves I've reconciled myself to the fact that I will never finish this project.  The cabinet is nearly stripped of the black paint that covered the mahogany or rosewood.  There are some dead keys and missing ivory veneers, but is could be a wonderful instrument again.

I have a stool with glass ball and claw feet that also needs to be repaired.

Dark wood cabinet probably oak or mahogany. Probably a 1910 model. Upper tier has a mirror backing.  400 to 500 pounds.

Left side veneer has been removed and is poorly refinished.  Rest of the piano cabinet is in good condition.

Needs tuning.  Is used only occasionally and was used by my family for piano lessons for two children.

We are moving.

"This piano is not in playing condition."

This piano was last seen by a tuner probably 10 years ago who said the soundboard was too dry to try to tune it again.  It has great condition ivory keys and a good dark case.

This is not a good piano for a beginning student.  You must come to my home and pick this piano up.  It will not be shipped. 

I am listing this piano for someone who is a technician who wants to work on it or for someone who wants it for the great condition parts, NOT for someone looking for a piano in playing condition.

 Needs tuning and some repair

The piano has been in the family for may years but we are running out of space. The piano needs some work and tuning but it is a good piano that needs a good home with kids.
